ANGER ALSO GIVES RISE TO HASSAD (JEALOUSY, حسد)
If instead of coming to harm, the person who was being resented comes
across some good news, like receiving a lot of money, or a good job, then the
person who resents him starts wishing that he loses or job, or suffer a
financial loss. This is called Hassad (jealousy) and this also arises out of
uncontrolled anger. So, excessive, uncontrolled, anger always leads to sins,
whether the person has control over the person he is angry with, or not. The
person gets involved in so many sins purely because of being unable to control
his anger. That is why the Holy Prophet ﷺ has advised,
"لا
تغضب" (Do not be angry)
Similarly, while praising virtuous Muslims, the Holy Quran says:
“…and those who control anger and
forgive people…” [3:134]
