{17} In verse 19 it was mentioned that forcing women to repay their Meher (money promised by
husband to wife at the time of Nikah) in return for agreeing to a divorce is
permissible only if they have engaged openly in shameful behavior. This verse
says that if you force them to return Meher, it will be akin to making
allegations of shameful behavior against them as it is not permissible to force
them to return Meher except in that one condition.
